DROP / TERMS OF USE

The terms,
in plain English.

Effective 12 October 2026. Applies to the Drop iPhone app, Drop Work and getdrop.photos.

The short version

  • Your photos stay yours. We only use them to run Drop for you and the people you choose to share with.
  • Drop Work is set up with each business. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before anything is charged.
  • Drop is in early access, so features will keep improving. Keep your own copy of any record you need to rely on.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Drop, an independent product operated from Perth, Western Australia (“Drop”, “we”, “us”). By using the Drop app, Drop Work or getdrop.photos, you agree to them. If you use Drop on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.

2. Who can use Drop

You must be at least 16 years old to use Drop. You are responsible for keeping access to your account and device secure.

3. Early access

Drop and Drop Work are in early access. We are actively improving them, so features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We take care to protect your data, but you should keep your own copy of any job record you need to rely on, for example by exporting the PDF.

4. Drop Work for businesses

  • We set up Drop Work with each business: its job types, the photos each job requires, and its team.
  • The scope, number of users, start date and any fees are agreed with you in writing before you are charged. Nothing is purchased through this website, and submitting a setup request does not commit you to anything.
  • The business is responsible for telling its team how job photos are used, and for using Drop Work in line with the workplace and privacy laws that apply to it.
  • Job records are prepared from the photos your team confirms. They help you document work, but they are not a certification, inspection report or legal opinion.

5. Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you add to Drop. You give us a limited permission to store, process, display and share that content only so we can provide Drop to you and to the people or team you choose to share it with. That permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from short-lived backup copies.

Only share content you have the right to share. Contributing a photo to a Drop does not give anyone, including an event organiser or business, permission to use it in advertising or marketing. That needs separate permission from the relevant people.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Drop to:

  • share content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, or that invades someone’s privacy;
  • photograph or share people in ways the law doesn’t allow, or without consent where consent is required;
  • interfere with Drop, try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or copy, scrape or reverse engineer the service except where the law allows it.

We may remove content or suspend access if these terms are broken.

7. Changes to the service

We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially affects a business using Drop Work, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Your consumer rights and our liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.

To the extent the law allows, and subject to those guarantees, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profit. Where our liability for a failure to meet a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again, or, for a paying business, refunding the fees paid for the affected period.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Drop at any time. To delete your account and data, email hello@getdrop.photos. A business can end Drop Work as set out in its written arrangement with us. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

10. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle photos and personal information.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update this page and its effective date when these terms change. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app or by email before it applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. You and we submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
